The health and well-being of the SourceCon community is our top priority. Last week (which feels like a year ago), I wrote to you that we were ready to push ahead with SourceCon Spring. Since then, Seattle has emerged as the epicenter of the Covid-19 outbreak in the United States, and the SourceCon community has let us know about their concerns regarding moving forward with the event. Yesterday, King County issued new guidelines recommending that large events and gatherings not be held.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to deliver SourceCon via video streaming and online interactivity, rather than an in-person event in Seattle.
We are transforming the event into SourceCon Digital, an online multi-day event connecting our attendees to SourceCon sessions, speakers, and each other through streamed keynotes, breakout sessions and interactive learning. SourceCon Digital will take place on March 24th-25th, as originally planned.
This is not a decision that we have made lightly. The facts and information surrounding the outbreak are changing by the hour, and our team has been working around the clock for the last week to come up with the best solution to bring the community together in a safe way.
We are planning a packed agenda with dozens of sessions, and we are hard at work creating the most engaging digital experience for you. Here is what SourceCon Digital will look like:
We are going to be live streaming our speakers, providing you with the same great content you signed up for, professionally produced
There will be interactive Q&As and audience participation throughout
All of the presentations are going to be archived after SourceCon, so instead of having to choose between simultaneous breakout sessions, you will get them all
Every SourceCon Digital attendee is going to receive a free license to SourceCon Academy so that you can continue the SourceCon Digital learning experience all year long, with deep dives into topics like People & Email Search, Email Messaging, and LinkedIn Sourcing.
While this may not be the SourceCon that we were all expecting to have this Spring, innovation has always been at the heart of SourceCon and we are going to bring you an immersive and inspiring event this year without the risk of travel.
We will be providing regular updates to attendees via email and on the 2020.sourcecon.com website. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to us at email@example.com.
